Payslips, contracts, HR records: confidential documents
belong behind a password. In this tutorial, we set up a
profile that automatically encrypts new PDF files.

00:00:17.100 --> 00:00:20.149
First, give the profile a suitable name.

00:00:21.149 --> 00:00:30.699
On the Monitored folders page, choose which folder is
watched. Every PDF file that arrives there will be
protected automatically from now on.

00:00:31.699 --> 00:00:35.899
Use the Add task button to add the task Change file
protection.

00:00:36.899 --> 00:00:45.049
The task appears in the list. The file is protected
right in its folder - no target folder is needed.

00:00:46.049 --> 00:00:51.649
Enable the user password: it will be requested whenever
the file is opened.

00:00:52.649 --> 00:01:04.299
Enter the password as fixed text - or use a
placeholder, such as a personnel number extracted from
the document. That way, every file automatically gets
its own password.

00:01:05.299 --> 00:01:14.449
In addition, a permissions password can be set: it lets
you control specifically whether the file may be
printed, modified, or its content copied.

00:01:15.449 --> 00:01:25.399
And that is it: from now on, no unprotected document
leaves the folder. By the way, the same task can also
remove passwords again.
